Dear Parents,
Welcome! We appreciate your choice to entrust your child to us and to allow us the opportunity to provide your child with loving attention, guidance and education while in our care. The Fort Myer Child and Youth Services (CYS) staff are trained and ready to assist in providing your child care, youth development, or recreation needs. We strive to provide programs where children feel accepted, successful, comfortable, involved and challenged.
Fort Myer CYS is an Army program that provides services to all military and civilian members of Fort Myer and DOD in the National Capital Region. Our mission is to provide an essential family program that directly supports the military lifestyle and reduces the conflict between parental responsibilities and unit mission requirements.
Our child and youth program is offered as a supplement to, not a substitute for parents. We are very interested in a strong parent and staff relationship; we seek parental involvement and welcome comments and suggestions. We encourage you to participate in the total life of the program, to attend parent advisory board meetings, education sessions, field trips, conferences, special events and daily interchange with your child's care givers.
We have an open door policy and encourage you to visit at any time. We hope you and your child enjoy your experiences at Fort Myer Child and Youth Services during your stay in the National Capital Region.
